The York Beach Fire Department is a combination Fulltime/Call company department that utilizes apparatus and personnel to combat a multitude of fire related calls. Primarily what we train for is fire suppression. We have 2 engines, 1 pumper tanker, 1 mini-pumper, and 1 ladder. Our trucks are filled with gear to assist us in completing our tasks on a fire ground. Some of the tools we use include, but are not limited to, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (Scott SCBA’s), hose lines, thermal imaging cameras, gas meters, hand tools, ventilation fans, ventilation saws, ladders, and other odds and ends tools.
